Description: The Snowball Sprint is a kids/youth time trials competition that we host around the holidays. It gives students an opportunity to explore a light-hearted, friendly, competitive environment where friends and family members can watch their children in action.
Date/Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm – December 20th, 2023.
Location: Play Project Parkour Training Centre – 3466 Landmark Road, Burlington ON.
Cost:
Athletes – $17.69+HST (totaling $20.00)
Spectators – $4.42+HST (totaling $5.00)/spectator or $13.27+HST (totaling $15.00)/family (immediate family members, limit of 5 people).
Age Categories: There will be 3 age categories, 6-8 years, 9-11 years and 12-14 years that participants can register for. Additionally, any athletes who are in our competitive program who are 14 years and under may also compete, however, they have to register in the competitive 10-14y age bracket. Athletes are required to register in the appropriate bracket based on the age they will be on the weekend of competition.
Registration: You can register for the competition in our online store under “Upcoming Events” section. You can also purchase spectator passes to watch the event in the online store under the “Merchandise & Spectator Passes” tab.
Prizes: We will be giving out merchandise to podium winners in each bracket.
EVENT FORMAT
The Snowball Sprint gives athletes the opportunity to demonstrate how quickly they can navigate a preset course using their parkour skills. Athletes will have a small amount of practice time on the course before performing. Athletes will have one attempt to run two different courses. The times they take to complete each course will be added together to create the athletes’ final scores, which will then be ranked from fastest to slowest. The fastest three athletes in each category will place on the podium.
