EVENTS

SKILL

Skill events allow athletes to showcase their ability to complete parkour challenges. Athletes will be prompted to do this by completing challenges with limited attempts and under time constraints. All challenges must be completed with a stick landing for three seconds. The fastest athlete to complete all challenges in a round will receive one additional point.

Preliminary – All competitors at once, jam style, completing challenges worth one point each. Top five or six athletes will move on based on the total number registered.

Finals – Athletes rotate through three challenges and have three attempts at each challenge. Completing a challenge in fewer attempts awards more points.

SPEED

Speed events give athletes the opportunity to demonstrate how quickly they can navigate a preset course using their parkour skills. Athletes will have a small amount of practice time on the course before performing.

Preliminary – This round will be made up of two courses, the times of which will be totaled. Top six athletes move on.

Finals – This round consists of a winner takes all final course. The fastest athlete to complete this final course is the winner of the event.

FREESTYLE

Freestyle events prompt athletes to create and connect their best acrobatic parkour skills into lines of movement that are performed on hard surfaces. Athletes will have time prior to the event to create combos and lines. Movements are judged on difficulty, execution and creativity.

Preliminary – Athletes create two 3 move combos that are judged and scored. Top six athletes continue to the next round.

Finals – Athletes demonstrate, and are judged, on a line longer than a combo. Lines should not be longer than 30 seconds.
